Predeceased by her beloved husband 0f 53 years, Walter; parents of Lithuanian decent, Joseph and Elizabeth Shopes; brothers, Alphonse, Louis and Joseph Jr. Shopes. Survived by 2 daughters and 1 son, Judy Sether, Sandy (William) Wheeler and Roger (Carol) Sether: 7 cherished grandchildren, Doug (Michelle), Laura, Gregory (Tamara), Matthew (Catherine), Andrew, Patrick and Daniel (Monica); beloved great-grandchildren, Kaila, Tyler, Samantha, Kelsey, Vanessa, Wyatt. Scarlett and Corwin.

Alda was a loving and devoted wife and mother who epitomized the highest standards of honesty and integrity. “A hostess with the mostest”, she welcomed all those who graced her presence. She was a world traveler who combined sophistication with simple elegance. Her teachings and love will remain with her family forever.

Friends are welcome to call at the RICHARD H. KEENAN FUNERAL HOME, 7501 PITTSFORD PALMYRA RD., FAIRPORT (EGYPT LOCATION), Sunday 2-6. Funeral Mass, Monday 10 AM at St. John of Rochester, Fairport. Interment, White Haven. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Perinton Ambulance Corps.
