Fairport: April 23, 2021. She is predeceased by her husband, Walter of 62 years. Survived by by 2 daughters, Debbie (Chuck) Vogt, Martha McNulty; 3 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Dolly loved people, especially children. She was an elementary school teacher, preschool director and Sunday school teacher for many years.
She loved her family and friends. Her husband, Walter; her daughters and grandchildren always had priority in her life. She showed her love by cooking, sewing, quilting and listening. She was always present for those in need, often delivering roses on her visits.
Dolly loved Jesus. She lived her faith by her service to her church and her community. She was a founding member of a support group for heart patients to support Walter’s health. She was a volunteer for many years at Strong Memorial hospital, first in the playroom for spinal bifida patients, and then in the family waiting room. She and Walter volunteered with SOWERs, and loved to travel.
A memorial Service will be held on June 27, 2021 at 2PM, at Perinton Community Church, 636 High St Ext, Fairport. This is would have been her 90th birthday. It will be held outdoors with CDC Covid guidelines.
One of the ministries that Walter and Dolly were involved with in their retirement was SOWERs. Sowers is a volunteer ministry for people who stay in their own RV or camper, and volunteer for all kinds of projects across the United States. They pulled their camper to all kinds of places, serving in various ways from housekeeping to construction, from student mentoring (Dolly) to lawn mower repair (Walter).

Ohhhhhh, we always loved Dolly and Walter. The separations we have on this earth will make our reunions in Heaven that much sweeter. May the Lord bless every memory of Dolly and inspire all of us to serve as long as possible. <3
