Dolores passed away peacefully with her loving family at her side at age 93 on Tuesday May 25, 2021.
Dolores was a graduate of Our Lady of Mercy. She was hard working, caring with an endless love of life. Dolores was a mother, grandmother, great grandmother of which she held a special place in her heart for all, Family meant everything to her
Even though she could not swim, she loved being by the water taking annual trips to the Wanders Inn “Mert’s place” in Picton, Ontario
Dolores and her husband Gordy were members of the Pultneyville Yacht club where they took cruises to the 1000 Islands and Niagara fall. Later joining the Fairport Yacht club, taking many family cruises on the Erie canal.
She and her husband Gordy enjoyed their camp in Fairhaven overlooking Lake Ontario and Blind Sodus Bay
She especially loved travelling with her sister Joan. On one memorable cross country road trip, they were dubbed “Thelma and Louise”
She enjoyed her old time movies, loved her pets, crocheting, playing cards, puzzles and word search – late in life became very fond of coloring books
Dolores is predeceased by sister and best friend Joan Cannon, her parents Frank and Adelaide Nickel, sister Etta Papke, husband Gordon Faulkner daughter-in law Nora Faulkner and Ryan’s mom Debbie Faulkner. Dolores is survived by her devoted children, son Wes Faulkner and daughters Pam Bush (Frank), Linda Maeske (Terry), Loving grandchildren Ryan, Sean, Tim Faulkner, Adam, Matt Bush, Heather Ahern, Yvonne Kelly and Nathan Maeske. Loving great grandchildren Ada June Bush, Evie, Alora, Hayden Faulkner, Tyler, Jordon, Taylor Ahern, Trent, Davin Kelly and Addison Maeske Huber. Loving Nieces and Nephews as well as many extended relatives and dear friends.
Friends and family are welcome to call at Richard H. Keenan Funeral Home (Egypt location) 7501 Pittsford Palmyra Road, Fairport, NY 14450. Wednesday June 2nd 5 – 7 PM. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday June 3rd 10 AM at St John of Rochester 8 Wickford Way, Fairport NY 14450. Entombment to follow at White Haven Memorial Park, Pittsford.
