John and I are so deeply saddenend by the loss of ‘young’ Lou (as we always called him). Mother Bernie and I were just talking in August of what a great housemate he was, and a major helper to Bernie~~~ and was even completely renovating the kitchen. A kind, loving man, and one of many talents! Our condolences to the Bechle Family. .

Lou and I formed a special bond early in our 20’s. I lived with he and Stella our other good buddy Dan and an assorted cast of characters in and out of French Rd. He was a brother, friend, trusted advisor and kindred spirit for years to come. We laughed, we sang, we partied, we ate pizza and we partied some more. Worked together, traveled together. We ventured to concerts and to games. We skied mountains, repelled cliffs, camped in the woods. We road tripped NSE&W. We sat under the stars. We broke some hearts and on occasion were shown the door. We caroused, consumed and conjured. You sit back and remember the good times. With Lou, truthfully it was all good times. He was compassionate, caring, humble, fun-loving and loving. We will cherish the memories and embrace the good-times in his memory and will never forget our friendship and his kindred soul. May you rest in peace our dear friend.

Louis was a larger-than-life character in the fabric of our hometown. Every so often our paths would cross, and his grin and big smile will be missed. Everybody liked Lou and he made people feel welcome and good about themselves. Wishing Chris, Heidi, Terry, and Lou’s Mother all the best during this tough time.

I had the privilege of coaching Lou in lacrosse when I first came to Fairport. He then went on to play for my good friend Coach Wehrum at Herkimer CC. Lou was passionate about lacrosse and life. He wrote a great book and will be remembered as a friend, athlete, son and brother. My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Bechle!
