Raymond was born to Phillip and Ada Jacque on 10-20-1925 in Elmira, NY.
Drafted out of High School in 1943, Ray served as a Radar Specialist on USS New York Stationed in Pearl Harbor. He was engaged on the front at The Battle of Okinawa in the Pacific Theater and honorably discharged from the Navy in January of 1946.
Upon returning to Elmira, he completed his High School studies and enrolled in the Engineering School at Cornell University. He studied Electrical Engineering and graduated with honors in 1950. During his career he worked for Northwest Aviation, Stromberg Carlson, General Dynamics and Computer Consoles Inc. He raised his family in Webster, NY.
Raymond and his wife, Marianne retired to Alexander, N.C in 1984.
Predeceased by his wife Marianne of 43 years and his sisters; Anna Cecelia, Hazel Arlene and Phyllis. He leaves behind his children Steve (Brenda), Randy (Karen) and Suzanne Casey (Brendan), stepsons Michael and David Halwig (Sandy), seven grandchildren (John, Stephen, Joseph, Laurie, Amanda, Mandy, Jason), 4 great-granddaughters and several nieces and nephews.
His final months were spent surrounded by family and cared for by the thoughtful and professional staff at Fairport Baptist Home.
