Albert G. Krenitsky died peacefully on October 12, 2021 at the age of 74. He was born in Rome, NY on February 25, 1947. He graduated first from LeMoyne College and went on to obtain his law degree from Notre Dame in South Bend, IN. He spent his professional life dedicated to helping people with real estate, estate planning and related affairs as a trusted attorney.
Albert, better known as Al, married his high school sweetheart, Elaine Sykes, on August 7, 1971 in Rome, NY. He is predeceased by his wife (Elaine Krenitsky), father (John Krenitsky) and mother (Frances Krenitsky). Soon after marriage, Al and Elaine moved to Rochester, NY to pursue career opportunities where they went on to have their only child, Kristen Rusho (daughter). Kristen now lives in Fairport with her husband, Doug Rusho, and two beautiful granddaughters, Hannah (12) and Brynn (10). Al is also survived by his brother (Bob Krenitsky), sister (Karen Beale), brother in law (Larry Beale), sister in law (Teresa Sykes), nieces (Tatiana Krenitsky, Nicole Augenstein and Alexis Passarelli), nephew (Kevin Beale) and numerous cousins.
Al was an amazing man, father, son, brother, husband, grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend to so many. When Al entered a room, smiles lit up on everyone’s face. He brought joy, ease, humor, intellect, wit and charisma into every situation he was a part of. People just wanted to be with Al, invite him in, and have him join them at the dinner table. Al made everything a bit better and he had the ‘it’ factor.
Al was a supremely talented man, pursuing acting, having lead roles in a few different plays in his younger years. He loved the Adirondacks, spending his summers up at his family’s cottage on Limekiln Lake, water skiing, and serving as a caretaker during summers between college semesters at Limekiln Lake campground, having his prize corvette to get him around. Later in his life he became an avid gardener, designing and architecting a beautiful Japanese garden from a gnarly backyard in his home where he lived with his family.
Al had many layers, that were multi-faceted and varied. He embodied character traits that were embraced by so many. Most could only be in awe of his personality wishing they could epitomize who he was into their fiber as human beings. A truly incredible man who will forever be remembered and when thought of, will always, always bring a warm smile to your face.
A celebration of Al Krenitsky’s life will be held in the spring of 2022. Details will be posted on this page and also be in the Democrat and Chronicle with his obituary when a firm date is set.

Kristen so sorry to hear this. Al was a very caring and special man. Working for him right out of college, he taught me so much and I wouldn’t have the career I have without having spent 19 years learning everything from him. Family meant so much to him. When I’d tell him you were on the phone, he would just light up. Take comfort in the many lives he touched and that he and your mom are together once again.
