Kerry passed away peacefully at the DeMay Living Center on November 3, 2021.  He was predeceased in death by his parents Robert and Jane Keating and longtime companion Katie Hayward.  He is survived by his five sisters- Claire(John) Broomfield, Kathy(Paul) DeMinck, Terry(Chuck) Crow, Ellen(Joe) Matla and Maria(Jim) Boucher and three brothers Michael, Bernie(Marlene) and Steve(Cathy) Keating.  He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

There are no calling hours; the family will hold a private celebration of life at a future date.

Kerry’s passion in life was music.  He was a self-taught musician, learning to play the piano by ear in his twenties.  He played in local bands in the Rochester area. He later moved to Key West, Florida, where he earned a living playing in piano bars.

The family would like to thank the staff of the DeMay Living Center who cared for Kerry the past several years.

I am so sorry for the loss of Kerry. We were childhood best friends and I still recall Kerry and Bernie attending my 6th birthday party. My only regret is not having reached out before he passed. Praying for peace for the family and eternal rest for his soul.
