Timothy Durand Stewart (Tim) passed away suddenly but peacefully on Sunday, November 21st, at Strong memorial hospital surrounded by loved ones after recently being told he had cancer.
Tim is survived by his wife Ginger, Step-daughters Gina Farley (Pietropailo), Erin Early, Mollie Dey, and many step-grandchildren, his mother Harriett Topete, brother Peter Stewart, sister-in-law Lisa Stewart (Yacono), nephew Peter Stewart Jr., and many friends. Tim is predeceased by his Father Audley D. Stewart Jr., And nephew Matthew Stewart.
Tim was born February 22, 1967. Originally from Walworth. Tim graduated Brighton High School in 1984. After graduation Tim moved just over the Fairport border in Victor where he worked alongside his father and brother, in his Father’s business, Cobblestone Landscaping.
Shortly after moving, he was befriended by The Jensen family formerly of Jensen Stables, (Chris, Louise, Steven (deceased), Kevin, & Kristine) where he spent a majority of time helping with stable chores, and other farm activities. They remained life long friends and were a large influence in his life.
In 1989 Tim began employment as a general laborer with the Town of Perinton, Department of Public Works division, to which he remained, up to his death.
Anyone who knew Tim, knew he was an incredibly kind-hearted individual who had an immense passion for volunteering with fire and rescue organizations. Some of these to include Brighton, Fairport, Egypt, and most recently, South Macedon fire Company.
Some of Tim’s interests in his younger years were of motocross racing, where as a family they traveled for many races and competitions. He enjoyed those dirt bike days and recalled them often.
Another one of Tim’s passions was for dirt track racing. He spent time throughout the years on and off at Canandaigua Motorsports Park (nicknamed “Land of Legends”) where not only he visited as a spectator, but also participated in different pit crews for different drivers. He loved the excitement of the race, the smell of fuel, and the dirt on his face.
Tim could fix anything, He was thought of as a MacGyver. He enjoyed tinkering on small, or even large engines/equipment. He loved the puzzle, and took satisfaction and pride in the fix.
Tim was a compassionate man, known and loved by many. He was always willing and counted on to help others, a true Boy Scout at heart. He will be remembered for his long dedication of service to the Town of Perinton. His volunteer activities, his kind heart, his smile, and of course… His stories!
May he rest in peace!

So sorry to hear that my cousin Tim passed away. I haven’t seen him in many years. We knew each other well when we were kids. Would stay with my Aunt Harriet and Uncle Audrey for the whole summer. For a few years. I have only fond memories of you. Rip my cousin. See you on the other side! Love Gina
My dear Tim, I remember you as a little boy when you came to Mexico with your mother: Harriet. I wish I had known you later in life. That wasn’ possible. My prayers are with you and your family. May you Rest In Peace.
