Earl F Breese Jr passed away peacefully on November 28th, 2021 at the age of 94.

A proud veteran of three wars – WWII, Korea and Vietnam, Earl retired from military service in 1968.  He went on to a successful career in the insurance industry and after retirement from Fred S. James he became a snowbird spending time between Florida and family up north.

An avid athlete, Earl was a standout tennis player; one of the first members of Midtown Tennis Club.  A fierce competitor in baseball, basketball and track, Earl was the first of a generation of Breese athletes at Greenport (NY) High School.  He is survived by brothers Tom and Richard Breese.   Earl was predeceased by his wife Betty (Clancy) in 1992.   Earl was never too proud to acknowledge her ability to beat him at shooting baskets for paychecks.

Earl was also predeceased by his son Mike (Lisa Brent), parents Earl F. Breese and Genevieve Skipa Breese; sister Margaret Cullen and brothers Curtis, John and Harry.

A proud parent, grandparent and great-grandparent, Papa treasured time with his family.  He especially loved time with his grandchildren.  Milkshakes and BLT runs with Mike, Tess (Dylan), Katie (Matt), Jacqui, Rachel and Christie (Alex) were favorite local outings.  He loved holding and listening to great-grandchildren Stella, Elliott and Molly.  Visits from Ohio grandson Earl IV and a memorable outing to Chicago with William created wonderful memories.  Time spent with the Chalupas, LaDue’s, Friday fish fry lunches at Spiro’s and dinner with the Moscicki’s were also favorites.

He will be missed by sons Earl III (Allison), Bob (Sue) Jim (Trish) and daughter Ann (Greg) Dokus, his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces nephews and extended family.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Assumption of our Lady in Fairport on December 18th at 10:AM.  Burial will be at Holy Angels Cemetery in Scottsville, NY at the convenience of the family.

Please direct any charitable contributions to Fairport Challenger Baseball
