Kenneth L. Hunter, 72, passed away at Fairport Baptist Home on December 5th 2021.
He is predeceased by his parents Kenneth and Alice and two brothers Lyman and Floyd.
He is survived by his sister Dawn, daughters Amy Ofinowicz and Emily (Matthew) Palmer. Grandchildren Kyle Ofinowicz, Hailey Palmer and Cameron Palmer.
Ken grew up on a farm in Weedsport NY. He loved the outdoors and upon relocating to Fairport NY enjoyed walking in the village, along the canal, and going to the farmers market. He also loved traveling and went on two cross country trips.
Ken graduated as the salutatorian from Cato Meridian High School and received a full scholarship to Alfred University. He graduated with an undergraduate and graduate degree in school psychology. He was the first school psychologist hired at Penfield School District where he worked for over 30 years. He enjoyed his job and loved helping the children. He was a dedicated son and father who would do anything to help his family. He loved trivia, jeopardy, crosswords, and word search. He was extremely artistic, and enjoyed painting, drawing and photography.
Our family would like to thank the Fairport Baptist Home staff for the care, compassion, and friendship they gave our father over the last four years. Words cannot adequately express our gratitude for knowing he was loved by staff and thought of as family. You will be forever remembered.
