Victor passed away peacefully at home with his family. He was predeceased by his parents, Victor and Josephine Krym, and is survived by his sister, Charlotte Ernst; his wife of 59 years, Jean (Akre) Krym; children Michael (Melanie) Krym, Matthew Krym, and Hollis (Nicolas) Krym; and five grandchildren: Marlee, Monica, Henry, Diane, and Curtis.
Victor grew up in Erie, Pennsylvania, and attended Gannon College (Tau Kappa Epsilon), and the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine (Psi Omega). He served as a captain in the 101st Airborne Division of the U.S. Army, stationed at Fort Sam Houston, Texas and Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Victor practiced dentistry for 43 years.
A lover of the arts, especially music, Victor was a clarinetist who led his ROTC marching band in college. He also enjoyed the outdoors and took every opportunity to be on the water with family and friends. He was fascinated by history, and was docent at the Barcelona Harbor Lighthouse on Lake Erie, sharing his knowledge of the site with visitors from around the world.
Victor made many people laugh, and his friends and family will miss his original sense of humor.
The Krym family would like to thank the following organizations for their support and care: the Strong Memorial Hospital cardiology team, as well as the UR Medicine Home Care; the Fishers Fire District and Victor Farmington Ambulance; the Veterans Administration; and the Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired.

it started when our family arrived in Pittsford with the need for Dental care, the beginning of a 50 year friendship. . Vic you will forever be in our memories of so many special times shared.
Vic possessed a lovely dry wit, we had many laughs in the ” good old days” . One of my favorite memories was his playing the hero in the melodrama for a pack 192 meeting. He will be missed but certainly earned his reward!
We send our deepest sympathies to Jean and family for their loss. You have been friendly and considerate neighbors for many years. Victor will be missed.
