THIS IS A TRIBUTE TO MY DAD, Love DAVID

My Dad has all these books about fishing and hunting, how to do and what not. I don’t think he or I ever read a single one of them. But ya know what we caught fish and we harvested deer. I can’t tell ya how many maps we have of Lake Ontario that say you should fish here. (Ultram)   But all the fish we caught weren’t even close to the coordinates that the maps gave.

Anyhow Dad was a creator. If he actually patented some of his things he probably woulda been rich.  Loved to just make shit up in his head and they came to fruition. Such as his Blue Chevy 10 van.  The things he did to that. 8 track booming stereo with lighting speakers to the beats and loud enough so he could feel the vibrations. He even made little hiding spaces  so us kids would hide into get into the drive ins for free. he was a character that way. He took pride in getting away with things, and I don’t blame him . Most of what my dad taught me was so much when I look back at it than any school could ever teach me. How to create. How to do things out of the norm if you had to. He and I built my first minibike. We took first place in cub scouts in so many arens it’s unreal. From pinewood derbies to ridiculous things such as a hat. We built a space hat that had electrical lights and all. all the time it was cool. How to survive if you had to. Unfortunately there are some things you just can’t beat , but I know in my heart he lived well. Always smiling laughing and trying to make others laugh. I wish I was more like him.  And now that I think about it, maybe that’s why I never wanted to go to school when I was a kid. I just wanted to stay home and wait for him to get home from work.

I lived next door with the Scribners. David and his family were always so nice to us foster kids. Not so much the little black dog that liked to nip at me, but Dave was always cool.
