Mona G. Loveless, 77 of Fairport passed away May 11th after a long illness.
Mona was a proud resident of Fairport for her entire life. Throughout the years she had many hobbies including bowling, playing bingo, crocheting and watching her favorite soap opera Days of our Lives. She was a lover of all animals but especially cats of all sizes. She had several feline babies in her lifetime that she highly treasured. Her favorite meal was a good turkey sandwich anytime of the day with a few E. L. Fudge Keebler cookies or a bowl of peanut butter cup ice cream for dessert. She always had a bag of Hershey kisses in the door of the refrigerator for easy access for a little “pick me up” throughout the day. Mona had an endearing relationship with her late husband Ken who she maintained a constant friendship with even through the hard times.
She started at Ferronics, Inc in Fairport in her thirties as a receptionist and retired there as a Human Resource Director. She was driven and very passionate about her job and her Ferronics family. We heard many stories from her of how they celebrated with her and picked her up when needed as she went through life.
Mona is survived by her daughters Wendy Loveless (Chris Ventura), and Gail Orr (James Lally), son Richard Mainster (Sarina Mainster) and step-daughters Andrea Hess (Jeffrey Hess) and LeighAnn Herring (Randy Herring). She was the proud grandmother of nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren who were the absolute light of her world.
Calling Hours are on Saturday, May 21st from 10am-noon at the Keenan’s Funeral Home (41 S. Main St. Village of Fairport location). A celebration of Mona’s life will be held by her family and friends at TJ Ryan’s immediately following the service. All are welcome to attend.
In lieu of flowers please feel free to donate to: The Dementia Association of America PO Box 600, Doylestown, PA 18901 or online at: dementiasociety.charityproud.org in honor of Mona’s memory.

My Deepest Condolences to the Family .My God Bless you all .,My thoughts and prayers are with you all
I just heard of Mona’s passing today. My prayers are with you Gail and Wendy and the rest of your family. I have such fond memories of your mom from Ferronics days when I worked there. She always had a soft spot for my husband and called him “the hot one” when we started dating 33 years ago! We kept in touch on facebook here and there over the years. She was such a great lady and I will miss her.
