Carol Caswell, nee Merchant. Born March 14, 1946 passed away peacefully at Rochester General Hospital August 23, 2022. Survived by her husband Michael, sons Lance (Selena) & Jonathan (Kailagh), grandchildren Joshua, Kenna & Lara, sister Joan (Colin) and many nieces, nephews and grandnieces.
A current resident of Fairport, NY, Carol & Michael forged a new path for their family in 1984 and immigrated to the United States from England. A world traveler, Carol held British, American and Canadian passports and almost Australian also after eloping there in the 1960’s with Michael.
The bedrock of her family, Carol guided her family through good times and bad, from sleeping on mattresses on the floor in their first apartment in America, in St Louis MO, to building a successful family run business in Lyons, NY, which is currently run by her sons.
A Neil Diamond & Beatles fan, master of lumpy gravy and burnt toast, avid wine drinker and Applebees connoisseur; just one month before her passing she flew by herself to England to visit her beloved sister Joan, where they travelled around the country.
Carol was loved by all who met her and will be irreplaceably missed.
She was no Biker Bitch.

Mike, and family – so sorry to hear about this loss. Carol was a wonderful lady, all British, she will be missed here by so many.
Mike, what can be said, tragic loss, and I imagine it will be hard to find your way through. But remember, Carol would have hoped you learn to burn toast just as good as she could. And she knew you’d drink her wine.
Our thoughts are with you all.
Dear Mike and Family, I am so very sorry for your loss! I will always remember all of the wonderful times on the Lyons deck overlooking the canal and all of the laughter that we shared together. Carol was kind and thoughtful and funny and I when I think of her, my heart smiles! My deepest sympathies to you Mike and your entire family. I can only imagine how much you will miss her!!
