Bernice T. Burnett (1927-2022)

Bernice T. Burnett passed away peacefully on September 15, 2022, at the age of 95.

Bernice was born to parents Mary and Charles on September 4, 1927. The youngest to brothers Charles and Robert. Bernice enjoyed growing up on a farm in Ionia NY until moving to Penfield NY to finish High School.

Bernice enjoyed a quiet life. Her and girlfriends enjoyed working together and going out to listen to music during her years after graduating.  Her life then became all about her (3) children after they were born.  An in-home daycare allowed her to remain at home with them throughout their growing years.  Having an in-home daycare for over (3) decades had her caring for many of the children in Fairport. One of her greatest joys was having many come back to visit over the years after just to say Hello!

To Bernice family and friends meant the world to her. Visits for tea and conversation were a norm for her throughout her life.  Mass followed by dinner out with family or friends on Saturday afternoons was also a tradition on her weekends.

Bernice is predeceased by brothers, Charles and Robert Carpenter and her son Michael Burnett.

She is survived by her children Jim Burnett, Kathy (Bill) Larson and stepson Bill (Gayle) Burnett. She is also survived by her grandchildren Leah (Greg), Kori, Samantha, Dillan (Caitie), Tyler, Justin, Kayla, Mykenzie, Chris (Chrissy), Holly (Andy), April (Carl), Katie (Jon) along with (12) great grandchildren. Also surviving her are several nieces and nephews along with many close friends of the family.

A Funeral Mass will be held on October 7, 2022, at 11:15 AM at the Church of the Assumption, 20 East Avenue in Fairport NY.  All are welcome to celebrate her life.

For her family and friends unable to attend the funeral mass there will be a live stream provided through Church of the Assumption website: https://cota.church/livestream
