Linda Pitkin Tobin died August 3,2022. She was born in Rochester ,NY on September 15, 1940. Linda was preceded in death by her husband Michael and her brother in law, Leonard Hallings. (https://www.iport.com/) She is survived by her children,Heather Rojas,Eric Deering ( Carloline Tynelius)and Sarah Daon(George), her sisters, Kathleen Hallings and Jean Pitkin((Karen Gill), eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Linda was a beloved sister, mother, aunt and friend. She died with two of her children by her side after a hard-fought battle with cancer. The oldest of three sisters, she grew up in the Brighton and Pittsford area and graduated from Pittsford Central School. After completing her education at Elmira School of Nursing, she headed west to San Francisco to begin her nursing career. Though the Bay Area became her beloved home from there on out, she always held onto her East Coast roots and connections with her family.
Linda, also known as Toby to her friends and grandchildren was a bigger than life personality. Known for her propensity for costumes and dancing, she was the life of any party.
With her great love of dogs, she became involved with the training of Guide Dogs for the Blind for many years.
She also loved to travel, making journeys to Greece, Peru and Thailand, as well as backpacking around the Sierras. Her strong spirit of adventure kept her active and fit to the end. Her spirit of kindness and friendship kept her surrounded and cared for by friends and family.
