On Wednesday, November 16th, Sue I. Lang peacfully passed away, surrounded by her family.  Sue was born to Alan and Evelyn Thompson in 1954. She grew up in suburban Michigan.  Where she met and eventually married her high school sweetheart, Philip Lang. After marrying and starting their family, Sue and Phil lived in several cities before settling in Rochester, NY with her three children. Sue cherished being a wife to Phil and was an extremely devoted mother to Jennifer, Philip and Amy.

Sue was a lover of animals, espcially her dogs Charlie and Winston.  She enjoyed all things crafty, particularly sewing curtains and making beautiful greeting cards for her beloved friends. Sue grew up playing piano and enjoyed tap dancing later in life.  She was always fashionably dressed, enjoyed travel and being with her friends.  Her heart was happiest, however, spending time with her children and their families.

Sue is survived by her three children daughter, Jennifer Lang (Matthew Saltzberg), son Philip Lang (Eileen Lang), daughter Amy Tschiderer (Stephen Tschiderer) and her beloved grandchildren Jackson, Corinne, Lucas and Elise; Her sister Sally Thompson.  She is predeceased by her husband, Philip Lang, her parents Alan and Evelyn Thompson and brother Robert Thompson.

I am just so saddened to hear of Sue’s passing …. Sue has been our neighbor for the past 7 years at least and such a very lovely person.
We would often see her grandchildren playing in her yard or Sue waking her Winston, and she was always smiling . We are so very sorry for her loss and much too young – thinking of her family and friends and sending prayers .
    All our d’éroder sympathy,
    Natalie & Jim Kircher

  8. Sue was such a wonderful and beautiful soul. I met her when she began coming to my yoga classes several years ago with her dear friend Kim and Sue brought so much love and joy to our community. She deeply cared about the people around her, it was obvious, even just from the time I observed her in yoga. Her presence was so warm and so welcoming. I am glad I gave her a hug the last time I saw her and she will really be missed. Sending my love to Sue’s family.
