Cynthia Marie Hill “Cindy”
Penfield January 08, 2023 at age 65
Cindy is predeceased by her parents: Maynard Hill (Mita) and Barbara Lavoie (Hubert) in addition to many dear family members. She is survived by her life partner of 30 years: Thomas Durand, brother Mark Hill, sisters Michele Lavoie-Boyd (Stephen), Melissa Peters (Kevin), nephews Connor and Nicholas Boyd, niece Jessica Lavoie (Kyle) as well as aunts, uncles, cousins and family friends.
Cindy was born on June 24, 1957 in Rochester, NY. She was a graduate of Palmyra-Macedon High School and went on to work for Burrough’s Corporation and then Laidlaw Transit. She enjoyed her time as a member of the ladies auxiliary in West Walworth and also being a Mom to her beloved pets over the years, Pumpkin, Peaches, Peanut, Pepper, Gizmo, Zoey, Sheeba and Precious. Cindy loved a variety of music but her favorite band was the Beatles and was fortunate enough to attend the Paul McCartney – Live And Let Die Tour – Syracuse in June 2022. She loved camping with Tom and attended the NYS Fair every year. Christmas time you’d find her in the kitchen baking dozens of cookies or doing arts and crafts which she also enjoyed very much. Cindy had a heart of gold and a generosity of spirit. There wasn’t anything she wouldn’t do for those she loved and adored. Always reaching out, she was the first to share what was going on in her life and much more interested in what was going on in yours. Those conversations and moments will be greatly missed.
Friends and family may call at the Richard H. Keenan Funeral Home 7501 Pittsford-Palmyra Road, Fairport (Egypt location) on Friday, January 20, 2023 from 11am-1pm with a short prayer service afterwards. Burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery 1975 Baird Rd, Penfield, NY.
