I am so sad to read this. My dear cousin Alice and I have been writing to each other for years. She seemed to be adjusting well to her new home. I just heard from her! Suzie, I am so sorry.

Christine, I was so sad to hear of the passing of your grandmother. Nothing I can say will help with the loss you feel. Just know that I will pray for you and your family and hopefully with time, you can remember all the good times. Love you.

I always enjoyed working with Alice when she was an active Master Gardener Volunteer for Monroe County CCE. I also had fun with her while working on one of the properties in her gardening maintenance business. She worked hard, shared her knowledge and her smile!

Always a smile, but never brighter than when she was in the garden or with her grandchildren. I enjoyed the talks we had, letters we exchanged and the knowledge she shared. Forever in my heart, I will never forget the love and kindness she always had for my family. I was honored to have her in my life.

Mrs. Alice was so kind. I truly enjoyed our talks at CCE Monroe County. She always made me feel special when she arrived. To this day she is so special to me. Thankful to have had a role model of a gracious lady in my life. Her smile holds a special place in my heart. I am going to miss our talks.

I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Alice when she was a Master Gardener and I was the volunteer coordinator for CCE Monroe. I will remember her for her love of gardening, her vast knowledge of plants, her willingness to impart her knowledge and her positive can do approach to life. A truly lovely woman.
