Rosemary Powers Davies passed peacefully with her husband and youngest son Mark at her side on Monday, February 6, 2023 at the age of 87. She was a devoted mother and dedicated wife to her husband through their 63+ years of marriage.
Rosemary was the youngest of eight children born to Thomas A. Powers and Florence Edgar Powers. She was predeceased by her parents and seven siblings, Eileen, Patricia, Joanne, Therese, Naomi, William, and Robert. She is survived by her husband, Dorrance (Tink), her daughter Susan and three sons Peter (Sabrina), Theodore (Danielle) and Mark (Takako). She also leaves grandchildren, Brendan (Madison), Blaine, Dylan, Matthew, Ryan, Peter, Michael, Aidan, and Audrey along with brothers-in-law, Harry Goodson, John Banks, Reverend Julian Davies OFM, John Davies and Theodore Davies(Rebecca), sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Powers and many nieces and nephews.
Rosemary married Tink at St. Francis De Sales Church in Utica, NY on August 8th, 1959. She was employed by the NY Central Railroad accounting office from 1954-1963 and became a stay-at-home mom after the birth of her first child in 1963 and the family journey began.
From 1963-1980 the family relocated many times in support of Tink’s career. They lived in six states before settling in Pittsford, NY in 1980. Rosemary was an avid golfer, bowler, bridge player, reader and follower of current events. She enjoyed these activities with her husband, children and friends for many years.
Rosemary also enjoyed traveling with Tink domestically and internationally. Some of her favorite destinations included trips to Alaska, Hawaii, Rome, Paris, and Sydney as well as family trips to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
Rosemary was a good listener and a wonderful asset to any group she joined, maintaining friendships with many over the course of her lifetime.
There will be no Calling Hours, but a celebratory Mass is scheduled at St. John of Rochester on March 31, 2023 at 11:00 am.

Tink, I am so very sorry for the loss of your beautiful Rosemary. I know from conversations while working for you, that Rosemary was “the World” to you. My condolences to you and your children and families.
