Teachman (Louviere), Barbara A.

Barbara A, Teachman (Louviere)

February 12, 2023

Bobbie as her friends knew her was born in Golden Meadow Louisiana. A bayou girl who met her sweetheart and the love of her life, Stanley Teachman at LSU. They were married over 50 years.

Bobbie and Stan settled in the Rochester area and eventually moved to the Village of Fairport in 1966, where they raised their three children.  Bobbie had a long teaching career with Pittsford Central Schools at Allen Creek School. She retired in 1991 and was able to spend time traveling the U.S. with Stan.

Much of her time after retirement was spent with her 3 beloved grandchildren, Laura, Tessa and Sean, and later with her dachshund, Mignon Garçon.

Bobbie was predeceased by her husband Stan and her constant companion Mignon Garçon.

She is survived by her children: John (Christie) Teachman, Amy (Chuck) Winterberger and Julie (Pat) Domaratz, her sisters: Mary (John) Levingston and Brenda Adams and her brother: Edward Louviere.  She will be missed by her 3 grandchildren Tessa Teachman, Laura (Dennis) Derricott and Sean (Andrea) Cavanaugh and her great grandchildren Zeke, Sydney, Amelia and Riley.

The family will gather to celebrate Bobbie’s life in late spring. Private interment at White Haven Cemetery.

Thank you to the nurses and staff at Creekstone Memory Care for the care and love Bobbie received. Donations in memory of Bobbie can be made to: Rochester Presbyterian Home, 256 Thurston Rd. Rochester, NY 14619.

John, Amy and Julie, I am sorry to hear about the loss of you Mom. She was a very special Lady. Every time Mom would come up to visit Marge and I she would ask to go over and see Bobbie. We both really enjoyed our visits with your Mom. Take care and God Bless.
