Miller Jr., J. Scott (Scotty)

J. Scott Miller, Jr. (Scotty), born August 30th, 1961, in Rochester, NY, passed away unexpectedly on February 19th, 2023 at the age of 61.

Scotty was a loving, kind, caring, and devoted husband, son, father, grandfather, and brother. Survived by the love of his life, his wife, Janet Miller; parents, Susan and J. Scott Miller; Sr.; children, Bridget Cooke (Jesse) and Jason Youngjohn (Sarah); grandchildren, Allison, Colin, Ryan, Hannah, Jacob, and Callen; great-grandchildren, Elliot and Carson; brothers, Michael Miller (Vanessa) and Craig Miller (Jody); many treasured nieces and nephews. Predeceased by grandparents, Phyllis and J. Stuart MacDonald, Lourine and William Miller; eternally grateful for them and shared his love for them every day.

Scotty loved spending summers at Keuka Lake with his family and friends. He never met a stranger and always made a friend, he never expressed an unkind word. He always looked at the bright side of life and cherished his family and friends.

He loved playing golf with his grandchildren, cheering on the Buffalo Bills, was an avid Star Trek and SciFi fan, and could often be found, remote in hand, searching the frontier of Space…he was a technical genius!

He received his degree from RIT and served as President (retired) of Maco Bag Corporation   Scotty will be missed by so many, especially his wife Janet, their bond went deeper than love itself.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Like the time we were all at a festival in Stewart FL.& he was so excited about finding a “Evil Barbie “, lol it was Cruella de Villiers from 101 dalmatians. Lol .Grief is the price we must pay for the love we have lost..

So sorry to hear of Scott’s passing. Many a wonderful memory of our times working together on packaging projects between Maco Bag and Kodak. He was such a kind and thought person. Great times with the Buffalo Bills and simply just having a good conversation. My condolences to all the Miller family.
