Patrick James Cammilleri
FAIRPORT – Thursday March 2nd, 2023 at the age of 79.
Born October 31, 1943 in Brooklyn, NY.
Predeceased by his parents Jack and Rose Cammilleri; sisters Joyce Coogan, Deborah Grant; sister-in-law Catherine Cammilleri.
Patrick is survived by his beloved wife of 28 years Elizabeth; 3 children Domenic (Debbie Harrington), Francis (Tracy Crooks), Patrick (Jennifer); Marie (mother to Domenic, Francis and Patrick); 10 grandchildren Ciera, Dominique, Steven (Ashlee), Sabrina, Hailey (Kevin) Montano, Jami (Tyler) McLaughlin, Justin (Marissa Foriero), Gianni (Stefanie Nardone), Salvatore, Anthony; 2 great grandchildren Mason and Cameron Montano; Brother Lenny (from Montgomery, TX); Sisters Brenda (from Kingsport, TN), Lorraine (Mark) Humphreys; Brothers-in-law Richard (Mary) Swierczynski, Ted Swierczynski; Sisters-in-law Christine Branker, Susan Swierczynski, Irene Swierczynski (all from Ontario, Canada); several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins; special Cousins Rose Boshnack, Joanne Cercone-DeCook (Brad DeCook).
Patrick was blessed with an incredible life, experiencing the joys of being an Educator, Brother, Father, Friend, Adventurer, Storyteller, Hobby Woodworker, Golfer, Grandfather (and Great Grandfather in 2020), and let us not forgot his exuberance for excellent cuisine.
His love for his country was evident when he enlisted in the Army in 1961. Years later when he retired from Xerox, Patrick wanted to again serve in some capacity and joined the VFW Post 8495 where he held the position of Commander of the Post (2011-2012), Commander of the Honor Guard (2005-2018) and proudly was All American Post Commander in 2012-2013.
Approximately four years ago, a Xerox Materials Management publication was found in a filing cabinet at a Xerox office in Webster, NY dated September / October 1990. The Special Edition was “Getting To Know You”. At that time Patrick was the Personnel Manager, Materials Management/Canadian Latin American Manufacturing Operations. When asked to finish the sentence: Most People Don’t Know That I: Patrick responded:
1. I always wanted to be an opera singer (tenor) 2. Hubert Humphrey hit me with his car (in Washington) 3. I had coffee with Richard Nixon (did not tape discussion) 4. I met John F. Kennedy in Berlin, Germany
Although we are saying goodbye to Patrick, he will not be forgotten. Each of us holds in our heart a special memory of Patrick that is ours alone. Cherish it and he will be with us always.
Much gratitude to the Strong Memorial Hospital’s Sussman Palliative Care Unit team who took incredible care of Patrick during his last days. The heartfelt care and compassion they showed Patrick, and his wife Elizabeth will forever be remembered. You are all God’s angels.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association to support their vision of “A world without Alzheimer’s and all other dementia.”

I worked with Pat at Xerox, and after retirement as a member of the Post 8495 Honor Guard where Pat was the Commander. A dedicated and loyal servant. A man who will be missed by family and friends.
I knew Pat from High School, Jeff, Xerox & Jeff.Lunches. He was a true gentleman & friend
Dear Elizabeth, and all the Cammilleri family, We are so saddened to learn of Pats passing. We well remember how he helped us purchase our first house when we were starting out almost 50 years ago. He was very thorough and very kind. And of course we have fond memories of all the Cammilleri connections. Be assured, we will remember him and you in our prayers.
I met Pat 25 years ago in Xerox and later we played in the same golf league. He was a good friend. I am so sorry for your loss.
Pat and I became friends when his family moved into the neighbor. I was 9 and Pat was 10. Our close friendship remained thru out the years.
You will always be missed.

Pat was one of my favorites. Saw him all the time when I worked at Keenan’s. I’m so sorry for your loss and you’re all in my prayers. Always thought so highly of you Pat and I’m saddened to see you have left but I know if anyone goes to that beautiful place it’s you buddy.
