Pat passed away peacefully on April 26, 2023, to be reunited with Dick, the love of her life on his birthday. What a reunion that must have been.
With the Catholic faith and religion being a very important part of her daily life, Pat is now at home. She attended Catholic Schools for all of her education. Daily mass was part of her life for a long time. Saying the rosary was a routine, and if you needed a rosary, she was quick to give you one from her collection.
Pat was born in Rochester on July 1, 1931. She is predeceased by her parents Joseph and Catherine Hurley and her siblings; Kay, Joey, Louise, and John.
Pat met Richard Menga on March 17, 1974, at a St. Patrick’s Day dance at the Green Lantern Inn in Fairport. They were married on September 27, 1974, and blended their families. They lived in Fairport until retiring to Port Orange, Florida. They returned to the area to be closer to their families in 2004. Richard passed away in November of 2018.
She worked at Lincoln First/Chase in the Brighton/Twelve Corners office for many years as the assistant to the branch manager.
Pat is survived by her children Timothy Williams, Brian Williams, Susan (Daniel) Cory all living in the Rochester area; and Paul A. Menga of Hudson, Florida. She is also survived by daughter in law, Susan Williams.
Pat was the best “Nana” to her grandchildren: Paul J. Menga, Meaghan (Greg) Wright, Bridget Williams and Emma Williams. She has 3 Great Grandchildren with number 4 coming in May 2023.
Pat’s family was the most important thing in her life. She valued the time that she was able to spend with them. She supported her family through the good times as well as the tough times. Pat was friendly and kind. She loved being around people and always had a great story or an “old saying” to share. Pat was very artistic, with her favorite medium being watercolor. Her paintings hang in all of our homes.
Her family extended beyond our immediate family. She took in all our friends and was “Mom” to all.
Pat lived at Heather Heights in Pittsford for the last year and a half of her life. The staff and residents became an extension of our family. We thank them for their great care and love.
Please join us to celebrate her life. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at 9:30 AM at the Church of the Assumption (20 East Ave, Fairport, NY).
In leu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice in her name, or to Honor Flight Rochester (PO Box 23581, Rochester, NY 14692) or the Open Door Mission (PO Box 14236, Rochester, NY 14614-0236).

I will always remember her and Richard, they were one of those couples that make you feel good and give you faith in love. A hug from Italy
A very dear memory for a kind and generous woman. Antonio Schiavone
I pray for Patricia and Dick, hope the whole family will find comfort in the many gifts they have left. I am happy to have known them: their love was of a moving intensity as well as that for the family, a love cemented by a deep faith. I will not forget Patricia’s kindness, sensitivity, love for beauty. I keep a photo album prepared by her in an artistic way with the photos of the first trip to Italy: it is very dear tome. A hug to everyone from Giovanna Menga from Italy
I met patricia briefly during their trip to italy, but her good and sunny image remains with me, which managed to involve those close to her.
I like to imagine her still next to Richard to continue their chats.
Me and my family met Patricia and Richard when they came to visit Italy. Even with the language barrier it was very easy for us to appreciate their company, as they were very good, decent and welcoming people. Good, healthy families always recognise and appreciate their own; even if we did not have the chance to spend much time with them, meeting them brought us joy and made us connect to people who felt very familiar despite being separated by so many miles and generations. It was indeed an experience that enriched all of us.
We send our love over to you, with the hope that Patricia, Richard and the rest of the family may find peace and soon some comfort in this time of mourning.
