Brian Genter, beloved husband, father, brother, and uncle, passed away unexpectedly on October 10, 2024. Born on February 25, 1973, Brian left a profound impact on everyone who knew him throughout his 51 years of life.

Brian is survived by his wife, Jennifer Genter and son Dillon. His memory will also be cherished by his siblings, Gretchen (Chris) Mayer, Mary Beth (Kevin) Mills, and Robert (Kelly) Genter, Jr., as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Nephews Elliot Mayer and Joshua (Brooke) Genter, will remember their uncle with fondness.

Brian was predeceased by his parents, Mary Alice and Robert J. Genter; aunt Betty Jeanne Shaw and uncle Stephen Cannan.

A man of varied interests, Brian was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. He cherished his time skiing and golfing with his son Dillon; relished exploring and cooking the rich flavors of many ethnic foods; found solace in the pages of his favorite book, “Tuesdays with Morrie”. Brian was also committed to causes close to his heart. His active contributions to Tunnels 2 Towers and St. Jude reflected his innate spirit of generosity and compassion.

Brian graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a BS in Chemistry in 1996 and had a 26+ year career with Dynalab Corp.

A memorial service and visitation to celebrate Brian’s life will be held on November 2, 2024 at the Richard H. Keenan Funeral Home (Egypt Location) 7501 Pittsford Palmyra Road, Fairport. The memorial service will be from 11:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. and visitation thereafter until approximately 1:00 p.m.   Pictures with and of Brian are welcomed and encouraged.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Tunnels 2 Towers (https://t2t.org/) or St. Jude (https://stjude.org/) in Brian’s memory.

Brian will be dearly missed, but his legacy will endure in the hearts of those whose lives he touched.

    Brian was indeed a wonderful man, husband, and father to Dillon. As my second son, he held a special place in my heart, and our memories are undoubtedly cherished. I will miss our spirited discussions, where Brian often had the final word, showcasing his strong opinions and engaging nature. His ability to articulate thoughts and perspectives left a lasting impression, making every conversation memorable.  I will miss him.

    Jennifer and Dillon, I was so sad to learn of Brian’s passing, and I am so so sorry for your loss. I worked with Brian at Dynalab, and he was, simply put, a really good guy! He will be missed for sure.
