Sullivan, Denise E.

October 19, 1936 – November 1, 2024

Denise went peacefully to be with the Lord on November 1, 2024 in the comfort of her home with her three children by her side.  She is predeceased by her husband William F. Sullivan and parents William H. Welch and Beryl J. Welch.  She is survived by her children Deborah (Jon) Ingerick, Kevin (Carol) Sullivan and Rebecca (Mike) Rubino and grandchildren Aaron, Danielle, Karli, Kyle, Kurt, Kollin, Kiera, Lauren, Grace and Emma.  And 11 great grandchildren.

Denise graduated from Mohawk High School and Syracuse University.  After raising three children, she worked at Wegmans, The University of Rochester and retired in 2007 as the Registrar at SUNY Geneseo.  

She had an active retirement enjoying life with family and numerous friends, gardening, piano lessons, traveling, bowling, Mahjong, Geva theatre, knitting, watching college football and volunteering in the community.  Her warmth, kind heart and smile will be missed by many.

The family would like to personally thank Rochester Regional Home Care for their outstanding care, kindness and support. 

Family and friends are invited to Perinton Presbyterian Church on November 26th, 2024 at 10:00 am for a Celebration of Denise’s life.

    To Denise’s family: Denise will be remembered by Bob Johnston and myself as as fun, loving and very classy lady. She was always kind and caring. Her kindness will be remembered by all of the Brandywine Neighborhood. God Bless her soul and her family. God Bless you all.

    Denise was a very kind and friendly lady, We were neighbors in the 70’s and we ended up being neighbors again in 2000 , Denise had a beautiful smile and a welcoming personality,

    Oh my I am so sorry to hear this! I have lost touch with Denise since I retired from teaching piano- I so miss our times together in piano lessons She was a wonderful friend she loved her family . We had so much in common.
