Fairport, NY: September 12, 2017, peacefully, at age 80, while surrounded by her family. She is predeceased by her spouse Eugene B. Langie. Survived by her sisters; Mary Jane (David) Kates, Deborah Heerkens (Carl Campbell), Christine (Eugene) Bonsignore; brother Robert (Carolyn) Carroll. Her children, Marjorie (Ronald) Provencal, Jeanne O’Neil, James (Catherine) Deignan , Michael (Vanh) Deignan, Deirdre (Charles) Gunio, Ann Marie Deignan, and David Deignan (Elaine Deignan McGurk); and 16 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and close friends. (https://cityoflightpublishing.com/) Barb was born in Rochester, NY and was the daughter of Vincent and Mary Carroll. She was a graduate of Nazareth Academy, class of 1950. Barb was a strong believer in family, love and friendship. She never missed a commitment to friend or family, nor a celebration. She will be remembered as a loving and dedicated wife, mother,grandmother and sister.

Calling hours will be held Thursday September 14 from 4PM-7PM at Richard H Keenan Funeral Home (7501 Pittsford Palmyra Rd, Fairport, NY). Barbara’s Funeral Mass will be held Saturday,September 16 9AM, at Church of the Assumption, (20 East Ave, Fairport, NY) with Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Church of the Assumption, 20 East Ave, Fairport, NY 14450.

    I am so sorry to hear of Barb’s passing. She was a wonderful, fun , caring person who will be greatly missed. We all had some great times together growing up between Rochester and Buffalo. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time. May she rest in peace.
