Donovan (Zamarelli), Marlene P.

September 3, 2019. Predeceased by her husband Lawrence, son Steven, mother and father Nicholas and Mary Zamarelli. Survived by Mary Catherine (Jeff) Renner, Michael Donovan, Maureen Nix, Terri Donovan. Beloved twin sister and best friend Adele (Robert) Consaul. 9 grandchildren, Hannah, Kristina and Olivia Renner, Stacy (Khang) Thai, Shelly (David) Shaeffer, Amanda and Jessica Donovan, Sam and Sophia Nix. Many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

On October 29, 1936, Nicholas and Mary Zamarelli welcomed the birth of their twin girls, Adele and Marlene. Throughout life they were affectionately known as “The Twins”. Marlene met her husband, Larry in the late 50’s and they married April 11, 1959. In 1961, they bought a home in Fairport, NY where they raised their 5 children and where Marlene spent her final days. Fairport was HER hometown.

She had deep faith and was a devoted, long time parishioner of St. John of Rochester Church. Marlene formed many lifetime friendships at St. John of Rochester.

She took pride in watching her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews participate in their various activities. She looked forward to bowling on Tuesdays, her daily walks with her sister, trips to Wegmans and coffee at McDonalds with Kristy (Wetzel) and gang. Traveling, going to the casino and winters in Florida were also highlights of her retirement.

    I am so very I didn’t get up to see you ? Marlene. It was not by choice but health issues. She was w wonderful woman and I’m glad she touched my life. My thoughts and prayers ? ? are with the entire family to heal from her loss. My she enjoy Larry and Steve.
