A memorial service for Elaine will be streamed over the internet this Sunday, May 10, 2020 at 11 AM at http://www.vimeo.com/keenanfuneralhome

Elaine died peacefully on May 4 at the age of 73. She was born in Waterloo, NY on August 27, 1946. She graduate from SUNY Oswego and spent most of her career working in the patent department at Xerox in Rochester, NY.

Elaine married her high school sweetheart, Albert Krenitsky, on August 7, 1971 in Rome, NY. She is predeceased by her father Raymond Sykes, her mother Helen Sykes and her younger brother Richard (Dick) Sykes. She is survived by her beloved husband, Albert Krenitsky. Soon after marriage Elaine and Al moved to Rochester, NY for career opportunities where they went on to have their only child, Kristen Rusho (daughter). Kristen now lives in Fairport with her husband, Doug Rusho and Elaine’s two beautiful granddaughters, Hannah (11) and Brynn (9). Elaine is also survived by sister in laws (Karen Beale and Teresa Sykes) and brother in laws (Larry Beale and Bob Krenitsky) as well as nieces (Tatiana Krenitsky, Nicole Augenstein and Alexis Passarelli) and nephew (Kevin Beale).

Along with her career, Elaine was very active in supporting her daughter’s swimming as well as keeping in contact with true blue life long friends she made in college including Marion and Steve Fodor, Judi and Dave Pimental, Margaret and John Jaconski and Rick and Joanne Rector. Elaine also kept in contact with a very close friend she made during her time at Xerox, Joanne Parker.

Some of Elaine’s interests included travel among other things. She absolutely adored visiting Cape Cod (Chatham), an escape for her with her family and often times her close friends. She also had a deep love of music (she even had a jukebox in one of her homes) and enjoyed knitting, playing cards and later in life seeing her grandchildren.

Along with a live stream service on May 10th at 11am, a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.

Dear Al, It has been too long since we’ve seen you and Elaine and now it’s too late for us to see her one last time. I’m filled with regret and wish I could come and give you a hug but this damn pandemic won’t allow it. Rest assured that I will be visiting you as soon as possible and make good on that promise. Until then, stay safe and accept our deepest sympathy for your loss. Patty & Scott

Al and Kristen, I will keep you in my prayers and thoughts. I will always cherish Elaine and my memories of the good and growing up times we had as young adults in college and as we married and started our families. I look forward to the celebration of Elaine’s life when we can again gather after the pandemic.
