Donovan passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at the age of 46. He is survived by his mother, Cynthia Brown, brother Kevin Brown, grandmother Norma Phelps, aunt Dawn Bedell, cousin Amy Bedell, other relatives and many close friends.
Donovan suffered from diabetes, and was in kidney failure, enduring dialysis.
Donovan was born in Tullahoma, TN to George and Cindy Brown. He moved to Pittsford, NY in 1987 with his mother and brother, Kevin, and attended Pittsford Sutherland High School.
Donovan began his career in Food Services by working at Wegmans, Pittsford, and went on to work at several restaurants preparing food. He especially enjoyed his time working at Heather Heights Assisted Living Center of Pittsford as a cook.
Donovan had a passion for building with Legos – those little interlocking bricks. Over the years he has built over 100 models, most of which were Star Wars and other space-related items. He was a fan of heavy metal music and video games also.
Donovan was a very gregarious person and had a lot of friends. He was always helpful to others doing acts of kindness like taking bottles of water out to the garbage men on hot days. He will be missed by so many.

Strongest man I’ve ever been friends with. He saved my life once, and gave me a couple tools to save myself later.
Donovan I didn’t know for very long I met in our transportation rides to our appts. Very sad to hear that he passed. He was very quite respectful caring and seemed to be a good person. My condolences to the family. May he r.i.p he is free from pain now I’m a beautiful place
