Mac was born in Johnstown, PA and at the age of 13 years he left home to attend Staunton Military Academy in Virginia by his own choosing. He continued on from there to play for the Pittsburgh Pirates Organization at the position of shortstop with a batting average of .312! After an unfortunate knee injury that ended his time with the team, although never the love of the game, he continued onwards and graduated from RIT to start his career at Rochester Telephone Company as the Director of Human Resources for 25 years. Mac couldn’t seem to retire so he returned to work in human resources at Genesee Region Home Care for 7 years and then ITX Corp part time until his passing. He continually wanted to help people.
Mac’s love of gardening also led him to work at a local greenhouse and we don’t believe there to be anyone who loved mowing the lawn and gardening more than Mac! Sometimes it would get mowed twice to look like a golf course. The summers would be spent going down to their cottage on Irondequoit Bay – boating, fishing, waterskiing, hanging out at the Fish and Game Club for a fish fry and spending time with all of their friends at the bay.
Mac’s continued love for baseball never ended. He played on softball teams well into his 60’s and when he couldn’t play anymore he enjoyed coaching – especially first base. He always put family first and loved nothing more than to spend time with his wife Cindy and their grandsons Paxton, Max and Dane who thought he was the funniest grandfather with his jokes and goofiness – whether you called him “Granddaddy” or “Da”.
Mac was sincerely one of a kind – a mixture of so many wonderful qualities like kindness, unselfishness and compassion that gave him the reputation of being “the nicest man you will ever meet”. Mac will be missed more than words could say by everyone that has ever come to know him and we can see that all of his fantastic qualities are being passed on to the next generations. We miss you dad, we miss you friend, we miss you Mr. Angle and we miss the best husband there ever was.

Thinking of all of you during this difficult time. I will never forget Mr. Angle. Much love to you Jill, Wendy and Mrs. Angle.
I came to know Mac through his daughter Jill. I immediately realized his larger than life personality and commitment to his family.Always giving of himself and putting others in front of himself, Mac was a true role model for all to learn from. Being a Pirate fan, we had an opportunity to share some special times together at PNC stadium with each other and where his love for the game was on display for all to see. This was especially influential to his grandson Max who continues in his Da’s footsteps playing the game since the time that he could walk.
Mac was a great man that we could all learn from. He will be missed and remain a part of the lives of all who he came in contact with. Rest well Mac.
I was fortunate enough to coach baseball with Mac this season, and I’ve come across very few people who loved the game as much as Mac. He loved working with the kids, coaching first base, and helping the kids become better ballplayers and better people. While I’ve known Mac for a few years, this past baseball season was where I really got to know him as a person. You will surely be missed, and the game won’t be the same without you. Rest easy, Mac.
Sending condolences to the family from our family. RIP Mac

Our hearts at ITX go out to the Angle family. Mac was a wonderful, helpful person who was always there when you needed him. His clear, objective advice was always something we could count on. We will miss him.
Mac was not only a work mate of many years, he was a great mentor for me when I moved to the US and started working in HR. He was always kind and uplifting, and he had a true passion for people. We’re all going to miss his advice and his ability to bring a smile to everyone around him, but above all, we’re going to miss him. My deepest condolences to Cindy and all the family.
