Uncle Sam, my mother, and I are all so upset to wake up to this news. Mike was a gem: exceptionally kind, funny, generous, and thoughtful. I was proud to call him cousin. He will be greatly missed and our love goes out to the entire family during this extremely difficult time.
I love you Mikey. Rest in paradise my dear friend. Until we meet again…..
My friendship with Mike spanned more than thirty years and across many miles. It was a connection that was filled with laughter and created some of the best memories of my life. Mike was one of the most genuine, kind and funny people I have ever known and I will always miss him.
As we shared pieces of our journeys throughout the years, Mike’s favorite topic was always his beloved son, Ryder. I loved hearing the joy and pride in his reflections.
My love and deepest condolences to you, Ryder – and to Mike’s mom, sister and entire family while you all navigate this profound loss.

I was in complete shock when I heard the news of Mike’s passing. I remember I was home one year for Christmas and my mother, and I were having dinner at Boccacini’s. Mike sent me a FB message asking if I was having dinner as he was working that night. I said yes and he came over and said hello. It is always nice running into HS classmates since I do not live in Fairport anymore. I am sending my deepest condolences and prayers to his family at this most difficult time.
MIke,
You were the blunt of so many jokes because of the crazy stuff you did, the crazy stuff you said, and you just being you. Hence the nickname, Tardo.
You had a huge heart. You would ask your friends if they were okay knowing that they had a bad day or they were going through something. You always found the dark humor in it and made us laugh about it. You also had a way of putting things in perspective, in only a way that you could get away with. It meant a lot to me and many.
Then there was you as a Dad. You loved Ryder so much that you couldn’t believe how much. He was your sidekick in every way. He brought out the best in you. The down to earth man, who knew he had to get it together, for the sake of him. You did. Sweet Ryder was your life, your heart, and your soul.
You found out that my Dad loved the Flying Red Horse, the Symbol for Mobile Gas, when he was a kid. Mike worked at the Mobile Gas Station forever and got my Dad a magnetic. It’s been on the fridge ever since.
I will miss you my friend. I’m sure you were met by gang, that had gone before you, I will look for you in the stars. Until we meet again.
Rest in Paradise.
To Ryder, Mike’s Mom, his Sister and her family, and everyone who knew Mike, I’m deeply sorry for your loss. Mike was one of kind. He will be deeply missed and always remembered.
I am so grateful to have known you and called you a friend for so many years. You will be so very missed.
I worked with you for the last 8 years. We became brothers. Love you love your child Ryder . It doesn’t feel real that your gone forever in my heart till we meet again ?
