Barbara B. Bills, 91, died peacefully on September 13 at Highland Hospital’s Palliative Care unit.
Barbara was predeceased by her beloved husband, John “Jack” Bills; her daughter, Karen Bills; her parents, Leonard and Ila Boniface; her sister, Nancy Ruggles; and her niece, Judy Braun. She is survived by her children, Dave (Erin) Bills and Deb (Randy Shengulette) Roschetzky; her grandchildren Matt (Erin) Lindenberg, Rachel (Chris) Tanea, Emily (Kris) Peterson, Jacob (Kourtney) Bills, and Glenn (Brandy) Roschetzky; as well as five great-grandchildren who brought her joy.
Born and raised in Brighton, NY, Barbara worked at Eastman Kodak Company in the medical department, where she met the love of her life, Jack. She was the most loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, known for her heart of gold and her selflessness—always giving and never asking for anything in return.
Barbara’s hobbies included crocheting baby blankets to donate to the Center for Youth Crisis Nursery, and shopping and buying for everyone.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and staff of the Highland Hospital Palliative Care Unit E-6 for the gentleness, kindness, and support they provided to Barbara and her family in her final days.
A private family burial service will be held.
