Bouchard, Robert “Bob”

Robert “Bob” Bouchard passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2024 after a long life.  Bob was a longtime resident of Fairport, NY where he lived with his wife Helen.

Bob is predeceased by his wife Helen Bouchard, his son David Bouchard and his first wife Bertha Bouchard.  He is survived by his children Susan Pilaroscia, Diane Johnson (Kim), Ron Bouchard (Karen) and Michael Bouchard; as well as his grandchildren Kelli Pilaroscia (Aaron), Heather Pilaroscia, Sarah Tilley and great-grandchildren Samantha Pilaroscia (Tyler), Christian Loret, Levi Pilaroscia and Emma Porreca.

Bob was born in 1927 in Fort Covington, NY and moved to Southern Quebec as a young boy.  He was a graduate of McGill University in Montreal and had a long career with General Dynamics both in Canada and the US.

Bob loved to travel and spent much time in Florida as well as the Western US, traveling to Arizona and California and many points in between.

Above all, Bob was a family man.  He loved his wife and children and spent as much time as he could with them, talking, laughing and enjoying the simple things that made life rewarding.

Bob will be missed by all who knew him for his warm smile and gentleman’s manner.

    My mother was an employee at Stromberg Carlson later GD and worked in the Department he Managed .More than once she mentioned how knowledgeable , kind and concerned he was about his employees.I will miss sending him a Christmas card each year reminding him of my gratitude for kindness and concern .
