Lois Van Thof Boyatzies joined her husband, George, in heaven on Sunday, January 9th at age 90.

She is survived by her daughter Vicki Ruff (Mike), sons Dennis (Leanne) and James (Bernadette), grandchildren James, Lindsey (Brandon), Thomas, Mareesa, Nicole, Zach and MJ, and many loyal friends including the Soures and Sherwood families.

Lois loved animals, nature, cooking, and taking care of her impeccable home.  She will be remembered for her grace, gentle demeanor, and devotion to her mother.  Lois spent her final years living in her daughter’s home surrounded by loving family.

Friends are invited to attend visitation Friday January 14th from 5-7 PM at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 962 East Ave., where service will begin at 6 PM.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Humane Society at Lollypop Farms

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon them.
May the souls of all the faithful departed,
through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

Heaven gained Another Angel. I know that’s supposed to make you feel better … and it’s true. But knowing how impeccable you took care of your Beautiful Mom in her Final Years of her life should be THE Only Thing You Feel ABSOLUTELY. PROUD AND GRATEFUL FOR. You provided her with continued Love and Dignity till her last breath!!!! Someday we’ll share MOM EXPERIENCES!!! I miss mine EVERY MINUTE . But know as I do with my precious son and mom … I carry them with me every second no matter where I go …and I know you will too!!!! Love and Prayers sweetheart. I’m here …a phone call away

My prayers are with the entire Boyatzies family. Family is the key word here. George spoke of family all the time. His love for his family was expressed constantly. When I finally met the “boys” I immediately knew why. His love and devotion to Lois was an everyday part of George’s daily conversation, not often found today. Everyone can learn from this family. Her memories will be cherished by all.
