Duncan Homer Bull, 87, died peacefully at home on August 20, 2019. Predeceased by his parents, Homer and Catherine Bull and sisters, Diane Noble and Nancy Coleman, he leaves his devoted wife, Gail Clements Bull; his daughters, Christie Bull Teachman, Andrea Mc Donough and Brenna Brochhausen; his sister, Bonnie Bull Duesing; his stepchildren, William Embury, Peter Embury, Richard Embury, David Embury and Sandra Gianinny, and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Born and raised in Geneseo, he was a lifelong resident of the Fairport/Pittsford area.
In the early years, Duncan was president of his high school classes and excelled at sports. He was captain of the football basketball and tennis teams. He was also the number one singles county tennis champion.
Driven to help people, Duncan attended the prestigious Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, graduating in 1954 with a major in life Insurance. While at Penn he was President of the Psi Upsilon Fraternity as well as a member of the USAF ROTC. In addition, Duncan played Division I soccer for four years and was designated All-Ivy League Fullback.
After college, he served his country as a 1st Lieutenant in the US Air Force. In 1956 he began his lifelong focus on helping people through his 59-year career with Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company. Duncan achieved the CLU and LUTCF academic designations as well as 40 consecutive years as a member of the Million Dollar Round Table.
Duncan’s avocations included the Rolls Royce Owners Club, the Geneseo Masons Lodge and the Fairport Rotary. He owned and restored a 1958 Silver Cloud I and a 1934 Phantom II, winning numerous awards including the prestigious Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.

Duncan was a member of the University of Pennsylvania Alumni Club of Rochester for many years and supported our events.
It was an honor and privilege to have known and shared in Duncan Bulls life.
