Erick Burba, age 42, of Ontario, New York, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on December 18, 2025.
Erick was a loving husband, an exceptional father, and a steady presence to all who knew him. He was deeply devoted to his wife, Megan Burba, and took immense pride in being a father to Eve and Logan, whom he loved beyond measure.
Erick is survived by his proud parents, Jim and Mary Burba; his sister, Holly(Matt) Bell; his brother, Andrew Burba; and his many nieces and nephews who adored him.
Erick was a hard worker with a strong sense of responsibility and pride in everything he did. He was the owner of Eastside Softwash, a business he built through dedication, perseverance, and hard work. Erick was incredibly personable in his work, forming genuine connections with his customers, who appreciated not only the quality of his work but also his kindness, reliability, and friendly nature.
One of Erick’s greatest joys was Lorton Lake, where he had a camp for his family. He loved working on it, spending time outdoors, and creating lasting memories with those he loved most. Those moments at the lake reflected who Erick was at his core—family-centered, hardworking, and content in simple, meaningful moments.
Known for his calm demeanor, Erick had a rare ability to bring peace to those around him. He had a way of knowing exactly what to say to comfort someone and was a grounding presence in both difficult and joyful moments. He will be remembered as a devoted family man, a dependable friend, and someone whose quiet strength left a lasting impact on anyone who knew him.
Calling hours will be held on December 29, from 2-5PM at Richard H Keenan Funeral Home 7501 Pittsford-Palmyra Rd, Fairport. A celebration of life will immediately follow at Rootstock Cider and Spirits 3274 Eddy Road, Williamson, NY 14589.

I only met him once this summer when he washed my house, and I was so impressed with him and felt confident I’d have a long relationship with him and his business. I am so sorry that such a lovely man has passed, it just doesn’t seem fair. I hope your family finds comfort and strength in this difficult time.
My condolences to his family. Erick and I worked together at Pricerite. We both opened the first 2 Rochester stores. Truly an amazing guy.
Heartbreaking news. I am sorry for your loss. Erick was one of those kids that a teacher remembers forever. I always loved hearing about his tree-climbing adventures with his buddy Dave. Watching his life unfold through the Facebook lens has brought me joy. He obviously loved his family and was so proud of his kids. The trips with Eve and her dancing standout as great family adventures. His was a life cut short. Just sad.
Megan, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this sad time. I pray your memories warm your heart in the days to come.
With love and hugs,
Patti Kenney-Feeley
