Catherine Cairns (Cathie) passed away on May 2, 2026, at the age of 91. She is predeceased by her loving husband of 67 years, John. She is survived by her sons Stephen (Sheila), John (predeceased by Cathy), Jim (Donna), and daughter, Elaine, grandchildren Stacy (Bob), Julie, Jim (Mina), Emily Cairns-Cannon (Jonathan), Dylan (Kayla), Austin, Braeden, and great grandchild, Phoebe.
Funeral mass will be Friday, May 8, 9:30 am at Assumption of Our Lady Church, 20 East Avenue, Fairport, NY 14450. Private interment to follow.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Mrs. Cairns was a lovely lady. I enjoyed every moment that I spent with her when she frequented the office at Church of the Assumption. She loved the Lord and was a great support system to our parish. May papertual light shine upon her.
