ANNE CALDWELL 2/12/37-1/13/22
After a long illness in which she remained strong, spunky and ready to dance to any song. Anne passed peacefully on 1/13 with her loving son and daughter by her side.
Anne came to the United States from Scotland with her family in 1967. Though leaving her large family behind was difficult she never regretted her move to the US. Anne was one of 15 children (8 boys and 7 girls) born on Cuff Farm in Beith.
She was so proud of her Scottish heritage and remained a British subject her entire life. She had many great memories and friends from living on Penfield Road and Folkside Lane. She never met a baby or animal she didn’t like (except for snakes). Anne couldn’t walk into Perinton Wegmans [and get out under an hour] without being recognized as “Anne from the bank” from all her years as a Teller at Rochester Community Savings Bank in Perinton Square.
Prior to RCSB she was the Manager of the fabric department in various Wegmans, where many of the beautiful clothes she sewed were displayed and worn. After retiring she enjoyed traveling, from trips home to Scotland, California, Alaska, Europe, Cypress and more. She was very adventurous and social. belonging to golf and bowling leagues as well as various clubs. Everyone loved her accent. She was always up for fun, dining out, shopping and staying up late. She especially enjoyed time with her youngest sister Catherine, forming a very special and close relationship after years and an ocean apart. As well as time with her longtime friend Edna.
Predeceased by husband James, mother Jeanie, father William and many of her brothers and sisters who she will be dancing with in heaven, including beloved brother Archie. Also beloved dogs Duffer and Snowball. Anne is survived by son Graham, daughter Elaine, grandson Tyler, sisters Margaret, Catherine and brother Andrew, sister in laws Chris and Helen, many nieces and nephews, special long time best friend Edna Ainsworth and grand dog Bo. Special thanks to the Memory Care Residence at Creekstone staff for the love, care and comfort they provided to our mom for many years in both Nancy’s and Helena’s houses.
Calling Hours will be held Thursday January 20, 5-7PM at the Richard H. Keenan Funeral Home (Egypt Location) 7501 Pittsford Palmyra Road, Fairport.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Anne’s memory to Memory Care Residence at Creekstone [part of the Rochester Presbyterian Home] or any animal shelter or rescue.

I so enjoyed knowing your mother. She resided at Northfield about the same time as my mother (Janet Marchbanks) and my mom soon followed her to live at Creekstone, also ( Bill & Jude’s), where she still resides, . We 1st connected due to my Scottish heritage and mostly due to our love of animals. I was often visiting with my mom during the music festivities and enjoyed visiting with your Mother too. A very kind and warm lady. My heart is with all of you. Cindy
Thanks Cindy, I think we met once or twice at Northside. Mom did love music. I hope your mom is doing well, Creekstone is a great place-Elaine
Annie was always fun to work with at the bank in Perinton. After I move to other offices our paths would cross out shopping and one time at the hospital when her husband was dying. My daughter bought a home on Folkside Lane and I was hoping to see her once again only to find out that she had also moved. Remembering the many good times and how she helped make work fun.
Thanks Diane, I know she enjoyed working at the bank and had many friends there. So great your daughter bought a house on Folkside Lane. We lived it there. Take care-Elaine
This was truly a life well lived.

I’m so sorry to hear of Annee’s passing. We met just over 15 years ago when we purchased her house on Folkside. We still reside there and have grown our family is this great neighborhood, just as she did. May your memories give you comfort.
Thank you Sue. I can’t believe it’s been 15 years since she left Folkside. I’m glad you live the neighborhood, I know we did growing up there-Elaine
I am so very sorry to hear of Anne’s passing. Anne was a beautiful and kind person . She visited me in Maine along with her best friend Edna (my mom). My 18lb cat named Felix loved her so much he would sleep in her suitcase on top of her clothes. Anne would wait until he left before getting her clothes out. I have such fond memories of Anne and my mom together on their adventures. Love always. ?❤️
Thank you Susan. They sure did have adventures. ❤️ Elaine
Our sincere condolences on the passing of Annie. She was our friendly, spunky neighbor who lived across the street from us on Folkside Lane, until she moved away. Her laugh will never be forgotten. She always had stories to tell of her travels and got most excited about going to Scotland! Her children and grandson, Tyler, were always in her heart. Rest In Peace Annie ❤️
Thank you so much Kay. She is a Folkside Lane legend. Hope you and your family are well -Elaine
Anne was our neighbor next door to us growing up on Folkside Lane and our family was close friends with her. She had such a kind heart and was always joking and laughing with us. After moving to California many years later, Anne traveled cross country for my wedding which meant the world to my wife and I. We still talk about to this day and we will keep her memory in our thoughts. Sending my condolences to Elaine, Graham and the family. She was a special person that will be surely missed. Take care. Love. ❤
Thank you so much Eric. I know she enjoyed coming out to California for your wedding. It was so nice to see and talk to your mom and David last night. Take care.

Annie was a great neighbor. We enjoyed her and Jim so much even tho we couldn’t always understand them with their thick Scottish accent. Our love to Graham and Elaine.
