Jacquelyn Charlotte Roberts Clark
April 14, 1929 – March 23, 2026
A remarkable life, evidenced daily by her unconditional love, unfailing kindness, quiet courage, compassionate service, sense of humor, and an exceptional talent for making chocolate chip cookies.
Jacquelyn Charlotte Roberts was born on April 14, 1929 in Providence, RI to Harold and Gertrude Roberts, following her sisters Joyce and Jean to form the fabulous “three Js.” She grew up at 16 L’Homme Street in Danielson, Connecticut and attended Killingly High School where she met her eternal sweetheart, Robert (Bob) Clark. Following her graduation from Connecticut State Teacher’s College and Bob’s service in the Navy, they married and started a family of six high energy and mischievous children. Bob’s employment took them to Toronto, Canada, Poland and Youngstown, Ohio and finally back to Rochester. Jackie was always a great neighbor, friend, and member of her church community wherever she landed. Bob died unexpectedly at age 40, leaving Jackie to raise their family, which she did with great courage, patience, and humor. She returned to school, obtaining a master’s degree and eventually teaching in special education programs at Jefferson Avenue and Dudley elementary schools for 33 years. Following retirement, she volunteered at the American Red Cross for many years. Jackie was a long-time member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving others wherever she found a need.
Preceded by her husband, parents, and sisters.
Survived by children Pamela (Thad) Moore, Jeffrey (Michele), Steven (Jennifer), David, Michael, and Robert (Jennifer) Clark, 21 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren, and many much-loved friends.
We love you forever Mom – Mizpah

One of the sweetest people I have ever known! She was such a mentor to me!! She rose above her challenges and loved unconditionally! So happy she is again with her sweetheart but she will be so missed by all left behind! Love you, sweet friend!!💕
Jackie is wonderful. She is such a great example of love and service. I will miss seeing her smiling face. May her reunion with her husband be amazing.

Very sorry to hear of your loss, Jeff and family. May your happy memories with your mother be a blessing to you all.
Jackie was such an amazing example to me growing up, and taught me so much through her example and in her seminary classes. I will always remember her smile and her loving heart.
She was my second mother. Such an example of Christ like love to all she knew. I am in awe of her like no other.
I’m not sure I have met a better person. I did not know the Clark family growing up or even after, but I knew that everybody knew Jackie Clark and everyone smiled when her name was mentioned. That is one sure way to know who someone is. She’s leaving a very well traveled love trail. Very, very well done.
My goodness what a wonderful woman, I was sorry to hear she passed. She contributed to some of my happiest childhood church memories and was even my first grade teacher at Jefferson Ave. She was always positive and upbeat. I’ll forever be grateful for the time we spent together.
She was the definition of Christlike love and I’ve carried her example and memories into my adulthood. I know Heaven is rejoicing at her return but I sure am sad knowing she’s not here with us.
My sincerest condolences to her family.
I am truely sorry for your earthly loss and I celebrate your mother’s reunion with her loved ones on the other side.
My sincerest prayers are with all of you as your hearts heal during this time.
I have many fond memories of your mother’s grace, influence and example in my youth chocolate chip cookies being one.
What a strong, compassionate woman! Sister Clark was such a great example for me of what a true Christian and disciple of Jesus looks like. She worked with my mom and now they get to spend time together again. What a difficult but great life she had. She uplifted those around her. Thank you. Hope we get to have your chocolate chip cookies when we get to the other side.
Jackie was always an example of Christlike love and service. She taught many of us about faith and kindness, truth and trusting in God. She has been our “other mother” for almost 40 years! She must surely be having wonderful reunions in heaven and I will miss her dearly until we meet again!
My two fondest memories of Jackie have to be trying to get in her van for Washington DC temple trips as a youth. She had the great cookies! The other is incessantly running to her during the Hill Cumorah Pageant to grab bead kits for Primary. She always had a smile and a word of encouragement for us all. She was at the baptism of my parents in 1971 and we all will never forget the lingering effect of her example.
I have no words only tears and deep deep gratitude for Jackie. She is and always has been an angel. Jackie, I love you!
Such a remarkable woman! Oh how I loved and admired Jackie for her grace and calm and steadfastness throughout all her years. She also taught me some tips for those chocolate chip cookies that I still incorporate to this day. I can only imagine the glorious reunion on the other side of the veil for her. Getting to hug her Bob, and so many from the Fairport/Pittsford wards! Sending my love to this wonderful family! xo
The Streets of heaven are happy. Today. A living legend came home and hugs abound.
While the streets of Fairport and elsewhere are much less today for the lack of the phenomenal presence that was Jackie!
Jackie was such a “bright light” and a powerful example of how to be “in the world but not of it”. She actually made early morning seminary classes enjoyable! All of those she taught knew she really cared about us. What a gift she was – and still is.
Jackie taught me accountability, by having me be the example in showing that harmless pranks can go beyond that. A lesson learned and powerful principle taught by an incredible woman. Missed, truly, but never forgotten. Praying for all.
One more angel in heaven with Jackie there. Her wonderfully cheerful greetings always made me feel seen and loved. I have beautiful memories of her as Mom’s dear friend. They took a class together on how car engines work after her beloved Bob passed. She spray painted the removed guts of a toilet gold as a prize for our parents who had replaced them. I remember she got some “Earth shoes” and said “I feel like a duck” walking in them. Jackie gave Mom’s life sketch at her funeral.
Jackie only showed joy despite hard circumstances. Her heart was so huge! I am forever blessed for knowing her. Much love to all the Clark family as you miss your wonderful Mother.
Love always,
Dear Clark Family, My prayers go out to you on the loss of a beloved mother. However there is no doubt that there is rejoicing in heaven!! I think Sister Clark is the most angelic person I have ever known. Her Christ-like love for all, and her happy positive outlook on life truly inspired me and I have always desired to follow her example. Much love to you all, Lorie Marchant
Steve, Jeff, and families,
Wishing you peace in the days to come. May the memories of your Mom warm your hearts.
With sympathy,

Mike and family:
I just learned of your Mom’s passing. A life well lived!! May your memories and laughter bring you comfort, and keep her spirit close.
Much love.

Dear Clark family,
your mom was such an inspiration to so many and a great example for me personally. She ministered to so many before “ministering” was a thing. She was a faith filled, strong, empathetic, intelligent woman and my friend. We were all so blessed to have known her.
Love,
Mary Cecil
We loved Jackie Clark!!! She was an example to all who knew her. A Christ -like lady in all she did. We loved servicing with her in the Hill Cumorah Pagnant and in various church callings. We send our love and condolences to all the Clark family. ❤️Carolyn and Wayne
