Robert A. Clement Jr. passed away – October 17, 2025, from complications of Covid and Progressive Supra-nuclear Palsy.  Born in 1949.  He is survived by his beloved wife, Joyce (Gillette) and brother Dan (Caryla), sister Carol Ingle (David). Predeceased by his parents Robert and Virginia Clement. Bob worked in the retail and wholesale food industry and held a number of general management positions in various locations within the Paychex organization.

Bob served four years in the United States Air Force Security Service.  He volunteered to serve the intelligence gathering organization airborne unit in Vietnam and was awarded five Air Medals and the Distinguished Flying Cross.

He enjoyed nature, hiking and boating, helping others and particularly – quiet times with Joyce.

At his request, there will be no memorial service.   Bob volunteered many years at The Advent House comfort care home and supported Habitat for Humanity, the Open Door Mission and Food Link.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice or Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 48 Perrin St., Fairport, 14450.

Caregiver Recognition

While Bob was still at home requiring 24/7 care, these aides stayed with him, enabling me to make appointments, run errands, etc.  They were a huge help while he was home: Patty, Pat & Carol.  There were multiple friends & neighbors who also stepped in to stay with him when I was out.  Thank you all.

When Bob required nursing home care 2+ years ago, the following folks became the most important people in his life.  These were the staff who cooked for him, fed him, bathed him, toileted him, dressed him, medicated him & entertained him.  They did this selflessly, skillfully, and lovingly and I am eternally grateful for their care.  They are heroes in a health care system that doesn’t truly recognize their worth.

  6. Joyce, Bob had the best smile of anyone I know. The last 25+ years of friendship with the two of you has enhanced our lives greatly. We will miss Bob. We look forward to more wonderful times with you and sharing memories of the fun travels the four of us did.

It helps to know he is now free of the disease that took away his ability to do all the things he loved to do.

Sending our love and we will see you on Friday.

A wife so filled with love that was obvious during his ‘in sickness and in health’ years of marriage.
