Bob passed away with his family surrounding him in love at the age of 86 years old on March 23, 2020.  Born on August 28, 1933, in Rochester, New York, is predeceased by his parents Louis and Beulah Consaul and twin brother Richard Consaul.

Bob is survived by his cherished wife Adele of 47 years; brothers Gerald Consaul and Don Consaul; Children Rick (Barb) Consaul, Lori ( Tom) Hasek, Rob (Elizabeth) Consaul and Nicole (John) DiBattisto; Grandchildren Leo (Karen), Amy, Lindsay, Stephanie (Phil), Jennifer, Danielle, Braden, Abby, J.J., Troy and Lucy; Great Grandchildren Nina and Giuliana and many nieces, nephews and extended family. Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and a friend to everyone.

Bob loved sports especially, Syracuse sports and the Buffalo Bills. He was a lifelong resident of Fairport and graduated from Fairport High School in 1952. He was a stand-out athlete, playing football, basketball, and baseball, in which he shared the spotlight with his twin brother.  He served in the United States Air Force for four years during the Korean War. He retired from Mobil Chemical as a Plant Supervisor after 36 years. Bob played golf and bowled for many years in various leagues. He enjoyed and never missed the opportunity to watch his children and grandchildren play sports.  He enjoyed his Friday night fish fry, Saturday night steak with a cigar and a drink, scratching lotto tickets, and Tuesday and Thursday breakfast club. He loved going to the casino and playing the slots. In later years, he and his wife spent the winters in Florida and vacationed with their family.

Bob’s family laid him to rest in a small private ceremony held on March 26, 2020. There will be a memorial mass at St. John of Rochester on Friday, June 19th at 12 Noon.

A special thanks to the wonderful staff of doctors and nurses at Strong Memorial Hospital, Intensive Care Unit, for the care and compassion they gave him during his last days.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the School of the Holy Childhood.

I spent time with Bob at the Saint Patrick’s Saturday celebrations, our annual spring White Water Derby trip to North Creek and at Tony and Beverly’s cottage in Chippewa Bay on the St Lawrence. He was always fun to be with, smart, witty and added a ton of character to any adventure. I have missed Bob the last few years but thought about him often and the fun we had together—————and am saddened by his passing. Mary and I send out sympathies to Adele and Bob’s great family. Till we meet again, buddy.
