Karen Kober Contino passed away on December 27, 2024. She was predeceased by her parents, Donald Kober and Joyce (Neer) Kober, and sister, Susan Kober. She is survived by her children, Catherine (Brian Agness) Contino, Emily (Mitchell) Harris, Caroline (Quinn Smith) Contino; her two beautiful grandsons, Maxwell Harris and Antonio Agness-Contino; and her brother, Mark (Jeanne) Kober.

Karen was born in Auburn, New York and was the eldest of three children. As a young woman, she enjoyed skiing, ice skating, and lifeguarding. She had many accolades in her life of which she was proud. She received her Bachelor of Science from Rochester Institute of Technology and was a computer programmer for many years. She also obtained a second degree in nursing from Isabella Graham Hart School of Practical Nursing. She retired as an LPN in 2023 after working at Penn Fair Pediatrics for over ten years.

Karen’s proudest achievement, however, was raising her three daughters. When they were young, she dedicated her time to their activities, including volunteering in their elementary classrooms as the home room mom for several years. As they grew older, one of her favorite things to do was cook and bake for her family. She loved the holidays and making Christmas cookies with her daughters each year.

One of the greatest joys in her life was the births of her grandsons in 2023 and 2024. She loved spending time reading and playing with them, and seeing her daughters become mothers.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Richard H. Keenan Funeral Home (Egypt Location) at 7501 Pittsford-Palmyra Road in Fairport.
