Penfield: Passed away on March 11, 2017 at the age of 77.
She is survived by her husband Karl, son Christopher, daughter Wendy Argento and grandchildren, Grace and Julia. Her parents, Luceil and Ivan Little, and her sister, Hazel, preceded her in death. Marilyn was born in Stillwater, Okla., and after graduating from Oklahoma State University taught kindergarten in Downey, California. A natural teacher, she had a lifelong passion for children with fond memories of her students. She was an avid artist and member of the Penfield Art Association where she won many awards including the Grumbacher Award. The Al Sigl Center selected Marilyn to paint a horse for the “Horses on Parade” event.
Marilyn, a loving wife of 55 years, was a wonderful mother whose devotion and commitment to her family will always inspire us all. She had a heart of gold and an enduring smile that brought light and warmth to every life she touched. Marilyn will be deeply missed by her family and friends, and always remembered with everlasting love and adulation.
Those wishing to honor her memory may make donations to the Rochester Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org/rochesterny. Her family will receive friends at our home to celebrate her life on Saturday March 18 from 1 – 5pm.
