Dear DeLancey Family,
My thoughts are with all of you, at this time of profound loss.
I met Nancy shortly after she began working in Corning. She was a very talented and strong woman. I admired her style and proud nature, she could be very tough. Nancy also had a very kind and generous side and worked hard for anyone in need or for a good cause for people or animals. I will miss her. Fly high my dear friend.
I worked with Nancy at Mid-town plaza and she taught me everything about marketing-she was a genius! That was in 1990, re-connected with her in 1996 and she hosted a bridal shower for me. She was creative, meticulous and very generous. She will be missed.
I’m sadden by the news. Although I didn’t know her very long .. She made a huge impact for my father and I. My father had been ill and lonely for a very long time a couple years ago.. Nancy befriended my father … after spending time with her My father had life in him again… a sparkle in his eyes and excitement to get up and meet with Nancy again … We are very heartbroken and yet blessed at the same time to have been given the chance to spend what time we did with Nancy and her beautiful soul! She was a very loving sweet woman and deserves only the best! God bless you Nancy! You are missed we love you and know your dancing with the angels above! My condolences to all of her family and loved ones! 😢❤️🙏
I only met Nancy once but spoke with her on numerous occasions. She was so sweet and so kind. A beautiful soul. I miss our talks. Rest in eternal peace Nancy. You were a blessing to so many people.
I am the sister-in law of Nancy and we met when I was 15 and she was 19. I loved and admired Nancy from day one. She was hard working and full of life. We were separated by distance but I loved being able to see her through the years if only briefly. Blessing to all the family upon her loss.
Our thoughts are with Nancy’s family and friends at this sad time.
RIP Nancy. I worked in the advertising dept at McCurdys 1985-1990. I used to see her just about every day as we produced the ads for Midtown Plaza. Great lady. Always went out of her we to thank me personally.
I was wondering what my friend Nancy was up to these days. I came across this and my heart sank. We moved to the Corning NY area about a month of each other. I am a graphic designer and illustrator. My husband (just imployed at Corning inc.)introduced us and we immediately began a long lived working relationship. We had so fun. She then moved to Cannadaigua and we moved to Victor. We continued to work together for many more years. I loved Nancy. We clicked with our passion for design. We were very adventurous together. She landed the clients and I help deliver some wonderfully fun work. I will continue to miss her, now more than ever.
The best grandmother a boy could ever have.
A beautiful woman with a great heart until the end, someone who put presents under the tree for so many children, who dressed my mother as Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz at midtown when she was a child, helped my grandparents stay afloat, who gave me and my mother a home for years in our time of need. Its so sad to see her go, but I know that my great grandmother is with her people now.
