Gone From My Sight
By Henry Van Dyke
I am standing upon the seashore. A ship, at my side, spreads her white sails to the moving breeze and startsfor the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength.
I stand and watch her until, at length, she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other.
Then, someone at my side says, “There, she is gone.”
Gone where?
Gone from my sight. That is all. She is just as large in mast, hull and spar as she was when she left my side.
And, she is just as able to bear her load of living freight to her destined port.
Her diminished size is in me — not in her.
And, just at the moment when someone says, “There, she is gone,”
there are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices ready to take up the glad shout, “Here she comes!”
And that is dying…

Tom and Lori you are o my prayers❤️?. Hers was a life well lived
I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis when I was 52 years old 4 years ago. The Bafiertam did very little to help me. The medical team did even less. My decline was rapid and devastating. It was muscle weakness at first, then my hands and tremors. Last year, a family friend told us about Natural Herbs Centre and their successful MS Ayurveda TREATMENT, we visited their website natural herbs centre. com and ordered their Multiple Sclerosis Ayurveda protocol, i am happy to report the treatment effectively treated and reversed my Multiple Sclerosis, most of my symptoms stopped, I’m able to walk and my writing is becoming great, sleep well and exercise regularly. I’m active now, I can personally vouch for these remedy but you would probably need to decide what works best for you?.
My deepest condolences to my DeMay family. Aunt Doris was a most precious and beautiful soul. I will never forget her and the love she gave me so freely. May your beautiful memories comfort you throughout your grief journey. My love to all. Peace, love ,and many blessings.
my sincere sympathies. Mom was a very nice and knowledgeable lady. Dan and i went to school together and I remember the old homestead on Aragon. I enjoyed meeting with her several times later in life. She was always a pleasure.
Thank you for sharing her with us. She was a delight to work with and always had a smile when coming to therapy to see me! I’ll never forget her.
Donna and Alan, and all the Demay Family – I am So Sorry to hear about Doris passing. I met her a few times and she was truly a lovely lady, grace under pressure. She is now resting in peace with those who passed before her. My deepest sympathies to all of you. You are all in my prayers! Love, Rosheen

“Gone from my sight” is excellent and a good reminder. But she is not diminished in your hearts. Our condolences and hugs. You can never “be ready” and we know your pain. Love from A & B
