Bernard was born in Utica NY but lived and traveled around the world first as an Air Force brat, and then as a computer project manager.

Bernard shared his sense of humor and giving heart throughout his life’s adventures with all he met.  He was always ready to host a science experiment on the kitchen counter, or argue a political point in person or as “Bernard from Fairport” on WXXI Connections.  His most important role in life was husband to Marsha and being the very best of dads to Alex and Adam and grandpa to his grandchildren Henry and Maddy.

  1. I liked caring for Berney,at times he seemed surprisingly aware but most times confined to the prison of his disease. God holds him now.
Love to Marsha who cared for him for years and his daughter Alex and family and all who cared for him.

  2. Please accept my deepest condolences to you and Bob, Alex, on the death of your father. Even when they are ill it is still difficult to lose a parent. My prayers and thoughts are with you all and I send my love too.

Just heard about Bernie’s passing. Sorry for your loss of such an integral part of your family. He surely loved you all dearly. I remember his great knowledge and I believe his” role” at RCN for Christmas in the past. Praying for you all.
