Duncan, James H.

James H. Duncan, age 88, passed peacefully on July 12th, 2021 at Strong Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family. 

Born in Sodus, New York February 17, 1933, son of Paul Duncan and Margery (Maher) Duncan. He is survived by his son Jerome P. Duncan, granddaughters Isabella and Chloe Duncan; and daughter Mary (Duncan) Teske. 

Jim graduated from Brighton High School in 1950; went on to graduate from RIT with a bachelors of science in 1957. Jim was wed to Alvida (LaCorte) Duncan June 4, 1960 for a blissful 45 years. Jim finished his career in 1997 as a mechanical engineer with the U.S. Government Veterans Administration Hospital in Canandaigua, NY. After retirement, Jim enjoyed doing work around his Fairport home and spending time with his many friends and family. 

Jim took great pride in mentoring and guiding his granddaughters in their chosen careers and spent his free time doing what they all enjoyed most; including embracing the love of his big hearted grand puppies.

Calling Hours will be held Thursday July 15, 2021 4-6pm at the Richard H Keenan Funeral Home, 7501 Pittsford Palmyra Road, Fairport. A Funeral Service will be held Friday July 16, 2021 at 11am at White Haven All Seasons Chapel, 210 Marsh Road, Pittsford.
