Dave Dunn, 53, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly in his sleep on Sept 14, 2019. He has left a void that cannot be filled in the hearts of those who knew him and loved him.
Dave is survived by his wife, Annette; his children Chelsea, Ian, and Ana; his parents Bill (Cheryl) Dunn, Karen Clinton Dunn; his brothers and sisters Alison, Andy, Jennifer, Bryan, and Pete; his in-laws and his many nieces and nephews; and countless friends, including Mrs. Pat Sullivan.
Dave will be remembered for his quick-witted humor and his extremely thoughtful and considerate ways. He was a devoted father to Ana, Ian, and Chelsea, and was enthralled by and so extremely proud of them. He was a loving partner and husband to Annette for 28 years, making her laugh virtually every day and sharing unwavering love and support.
Dave was known to volunteer and assist anyone, including a stranger in need, friends and family, and the many teachers, administrators, and other volunteers at the Fairport schools. Dave was adept at inserting levity into any situation.
Calling hours are 4-7pm Sept 20th. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Tool Thrift Shop, 122 Fairport Village Landing, Fairport, NY 14450 (toolthriftshop.org).
Please help Annette and family to preserve fond memories of Dave by emailing your stories, photos, and thoughts to: memories.davedunn@gmail.com.

Dave always sent me emails with literary puns to brighten my day. He also was so generous with donations to my classroom—he understood all the supplies teachers needed to purchase on their own to help their students be successful. My favorite memories of Dave are his drop in visits when Ana and Ian were attending Martha Brown. He always made a point to stop by my classroom and say ‘hello’ , ask me how I was doing, and offer up a fun joke or two. Dave was certainly a devoted father to his children. The community of Fairport has lost a true gentleman and friend.
