Fernandez, Evan Jeffrey

Evan Jeffrey Fernandez of Fairport, New York passed away unexpectedly Monday , June 13th, 2022 at the age of 31.

Evan leaves behind a large loving family. 

Father, Jeffrey A. Fernandez, Mother, Roxanne L. Kolb, Stepmother Patricia L. Fernandez. Sisters: Tara, Lea, Amanda, and Mckenna Brothers; Nikholas, Shawn, Brandon, Konar, and Osjamell Sister In Law, Alicia. Nieces; Kaila, Victoria, and Briana  Nephews; Anthony, Xavier, Elioth, and Waylon Girlfriend Emily Brown who is expecting their first son Arlo Evan Fernandez, November 7. 

His beloved dog Keno, along with countless dedicated friends and colleagues including his best friend Felix Perez.

Evan was born on May 19, 1991 in Sodus, NY. He grew up in Fairport, NY riding his bike along the Erie Canal with his family and spending countless days on paintball courses, rock walls, and hunting trails. 

Evan could be found at Ellison Park or Spring Lake Park on any given day with his 10 year old German Shepard, Keno. 

Evan moved to Georgia in 2015 where he found the Appalachian Trail. He spent weeks practicing his outdoor survival skills along with camping, and hiking. He was known to climb to the tops of trees for a birds eye view and would watch the leaves blow in the wind. 

He enjoyed poetry and music. He hung on every word and contemplated their meanings. Evan was a soulful man who felt things deeply and loved the people around him with the same intensity. 

The celebration of life will be held Friday, June 24th for immediate family and close friends. 

For Evan’s love of the great outdoors, we ask that in lieu of flowers you donate to the Arbor Day Foundation. We hope that planting a tree will bring as much joy to the world as Evan did for many years to come.
